Are teenagers the only ones vulnerable to peer pressure?
No, because in my research their are also adults or even children that are under peer pressure. Peer pressure can also start even at an early age.
What is something that people often get pressured into doing?
Most of the people get pressured with the people around them including their friends or worst, even their family. For example, your friends are asking you to drink something and it is against your will, but you will do it because you don’t want them to say that you are a kill joy person.
Have you ever pressured a friend into doing something positive or negative?
Yes, I have. As a student and as a friend I did pressure a friend to do something but it is in a positive way.
Is it hard to say ‘No’ to friends?
Yes, sometimes it is hard to say no to my friends but sometimes if it is really
against my will and is affecting my dignity as a person I will say No.
Do you feel peer pressure in school?
Yes, Every time! Peer pressure is everywhere in school, asking you to become
someone you are not. Pressuring us students to do something we don’t want to do.
And what should a person do when his or her peers start to drink, use
drugs or smoke?
As a student, I usually with a group of friends that do these thing, but except for
drugs. What I do when they do those things is that, I would say to them honestly
that I don’t want to do what they do and they respect my decision. My friends
are ver nice and a positive group of friends for me.
Should one cheat on a test or lie to a friend in order to be liked by
others?
For me, it is not. Because my friends will really hate me if I will lie to them.
What would you do if your friends did something that you disagree with?
I will just say to do them what they did and talk them out about it. But if they would see a negative side from me, I will explain to them and sort things out with them so that it will not affect our friendship. Still, no friends are perfect.
Why is peer pressure hard for teenagers to resist?
Peer pressure is hard for us teenagers to resist because it is still a part our life. Peer
pressure helps us to learn from it and correct our selves. But if a teenager refuse to
take part of the positive side of peer pressure then I am sure that his/her life would
be mess.
How can people say no to peer pressure?
People can’t say no to peer pressure. It is a part of our daily living. No one can
excape it.
